Bethan Lacoba
Hi, I’m Beth, a creative content writer, sub-editor, floral designer and interior designer. Let’s not forget I’m also a mum to two little creative forces!
My varied career has thrived at the intersection of aspirational design, interiors, styling and local culture. My diverse skill set makes me a masterful adaptor and collaborator in creative spaces.
Most recently I worked as features editor for Australian House & Garden magazine (2023-2026) before moving to freelance copywriting and sub-editing work. I’ve worked for many well-known lifestyle titles from Are Media/Bauer Media, Pacific Magazines, News Corp and Penguin Books, including Cosmopolitan Bride, Practical Parenting, Cleo, Vogue Living, and many more.
I trained as a florist from 2009-10 and Saint Fleur was born (originally named Blooms by Bethan). Creating floral designs for bridal couples, connecting with these clients and translating the essence of their stories into moments of floral artistry was a joy.
I’m rarely at the floral bench these days, but will dip in and out if an aligned project or event comes my way. Please reach out if my floral work resonates with you.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Writing & Cultural Studies) from UTS (2005–2007), Certificate III Floristry from TAFE NSW (2009–2010) and a Diploma of Interior Design from Sydney Design School (2021 to 2022).
